Paragliding in Tenerife with Andreas Breuer

Tenerife is the largest island of the Canary archipelago, located in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean, just about 300 km west of Casablanca (Morocco). Year-round sunshine, pleasant swimming weather, diverse vegetation, varied landscapes, and Spain’s highest peak at **3,718 m**—all supported by excellent infrastructure—make this island a true vacation paradise.

For paraglider pilots, the island offers outstanding flying opportunities, especially during the winter months. Enjoy daily thermal flying or unforgettable glides with up to **2,300 m** of vertical drop from 14 different launch sites across an island measuring 120 km by 40 km.

**Andreas Breuer** has been flying here since 1987 and knows the island intimately from more than 37 paragliding trips. This tour is one of the most diverse in our program, featuring daily changing flight sites, swimming, excursions, and delicious local cuisine.

### Pilot Requirements

Participants should be able to launch and land safely and independently. Extended thermal flights are frequently possible. Thanks to Andreas’s extensive, long-term knowledge of the local terrain and weather, you will also discover the lesser-known “secret spots” across the island.

### Arrival and Meeting Point

On your arrival day, we will pick you up from the airport (Tenerife North or South) and escort you to our accommodation located near **Poris de Abona** on the southeast coast.

> *Please send us your flight details immediately for coordination.*

### Daily Schedule

Following a daily weather briefing, we head to the most favorable flying site for the day. We will be out all day and return to our quarters in the evening.

### Flying Conditions and Preparation

The flying sites on Tenerife are generally of intermediate difficulty and are not designated training hills. Pilots who fly infrequently should ensure they are accompanied by responsible, local flight instructors. Typical conditions include spectacular glides with up to **2,300 m** altitude difference, mostly weak to moderate thermals, and generally light winds at the launch sites.
